Date palm sector has seen two important phases in the UAE.
First is “The initiation”. Where the palm plantation was developed in the era of late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, The UAE succeeded to become one of the biggest date producers in the world.

The second phase is marked by improved quality of dates. Resulting from providing services to farmers on the one hand, and supporting dates manufacturing on the other hand. ”During these two phases i asked myself: “What can we do with all these dates?.” Then I realized after my long experience in date farming and industry, I believe we can do everything in two components, namely the dates and creativity…and results are being achieved.”

Historical Milestones
- 2006 The factory was established in Liwa palm farms, and was the first to provide farmers with packaging services and marketing of dates in the State.
- 2007 Started expansion, created the brand “Liwa Dates” and marketing of products in the local market.
- 2009 The factory joined to the Khalifa Fund for Business Development.
- 2010 The factory started exporting its products to world markets.
- 2011 The new factory started operations in the Mezaira’a city. It was the biggest private factory in the State with a total area of 20,000 square meters.
- 2012 Developing factory equipment and systems which helped increase production capacity to meet high demand.
